Comments

Samsung S959s (Galaxy s2) represents the first high end device for the GSM calling area available from Straight Talk. This is a true high end phone with tons of quality features. The super large 4.5" screen has to be seen to be believed. That said, keep on mind that this is a rather large device, at least in the width and height department. It is quite thin, however, measuring in at just lest than .4".

A quick glance at the phone reveals a rather straight forward interface despite it's high end appearance. The Volume buttons are on the left, the right has the screen lock button, headphone jack is up top and the bottom has the charge/data port. The capacitive touch android buttons are found below the screen as in all other android devices. The fact that they are of the touch type give it a real slick look/feel to the front of the phone.

Features

What can we say about features? Well, for starters this phone has an super fast 1.2ghz dual core processor so unlike previous Straight Talk androids, this one is no weakling in the processing department. This means we can finally watch Netflix without the annoying audio sync and choppiness. Of course you also get the Google play app market, GPS navigation, and all the standards we've come to expect from an Android device.

Of course, the real star here is the super large 4.5" screen that gives this phone a real presense. This is a true multimedia lover's dream as it can deliver great quality streaming video and can record excellent quality video. It's also got a front and rear facing camera as well.

Calling Area

As we mentioned earlier, this is a GSM phone and will operate on either the AT&T or TMobile calling areas. This is noteworthy because the majority of the Straight Talk Androids are for the smaller CDMA Spring calling area.

Wrapping it Up

To sum it up, the Samsung S959g is truelly a great device. It's plenty powerful, looks great and has an awesome screen. The only downside, of course, is the size. Be aware that this is a fairly large phone. Other than that, if you're looking for a true multimedia device, the Samsung S959g is for you.
